Check-in is from 15.00, it is often possible to check in earlier, you just have to ask the reception before arrival. In the summer, especially in July, check-in is basically at 16:00 - this is because it takes quite a long time to clean a suite, and our cleaning staff must have enough time if there are many new arrivals.
Check-out is at 11 a.m. in July, and at 12 p.m. the rest of the year. It is often possible to get a late check-out - again, just ask us if it is possible.
We are arriving very late, is it possible to check in?
It is always possible to check in! We do not have a 24-hour reception, but there is always one of us nearby, if you arrive after the reception is closed, just arrange a check-in time before arrival or call when you take the E18 towards Risør.
We have a limited number of parking spaces, but we try to arrange space for everyone, even if it can be tight in the summer. In the event that we do not have capatown, there is a large public car park at Tjenna 500m away.
We have a 7.5 kw charging station, only for hotel guests. We charge NOK 100 for charging overnight.
Is it allowed to bring a dog?
We have two suites where dogs are allowed by agreement with the hotel, the steamship suite and the convoy suite, both in Kragsgate. It is prohibited in all other suites.
There is a cleaning supplement of NOK 500 for the stay (does not apply to service animals).
If we discover that there is a dog in one of the suites without this having been agreed with the hotel, the payment card will be charged a fee of NOK 2,000.
Do you have allergy-friendly rooms and alternatives for those with food allergies?
We have three allergy-friendly rooms, we ask guests with allergies to get in touch before arrival to ensure they get a suite adapted to their allergies.
We also really appreciate being informed about food allergies/intolerances - we have gluten-free bread and lactose-free milk available, but if you have strong allergies, for example to eggs, nuts, shellfish, the hotel must be informed.
We can also offer vegetarian and vegan options on request.
Is smoking allowed in the hotel?
Smoking is allowed on your own patio by the suite, but please be considerate of other non-smoking guests. Snipe must be placed in water before being thrown, and must not be thrown on the ground.

We offer a great breakfast basket, delivered to your door at a time agreed with you. It must be ordered no later than the night before.
Do you have dinner service?

We do not have a spa facility but we do have a treatment room where we offer massage treatments and wraps, you can also order massage treatments in your own suite. The suites "Gjestehuset" and "Consulatet" also have access to a heated swimming pool. Read more.
Is the swimming pool open to all guests?
The swimming pool in Storgata is only for use by guests staying in the suites located by the garden. The reason for that is that it is very disruptive to the guests staying in these suites if everyone is going to use the garden and the pool.
If you are part of a larger group that has rented several suites including those by the garden, then all the guests in the company can use the garden and the pool.
Do you have a lifeguard for the swimming pool?
We do not have a lifeguard, the swimming pool is used at your own risk and children must be accompanied by a responsible adult when swimming.
