At this concert, multi-instrumentalist Hans Fredrik plays music from his latest solo CD ØRE, released on 8 February. ØRE is a tribute to every musician's most important organ, and mostly contains instrumental music he has composed himself. But there are also a couple of songs on it, and some tunes from the folk tradition.
He plays a number of wind instruments, both solo, in concert with himself, and some with musicians from his own family with whom he plays well. In this concert, however, he is completely alone, in fact for the first time ever, and he finds that very exciting.
In addition to songs from ØRE, Hans Fredrik sings songs he has made, to his own guitar accompaniment, both with his own lyrics and lyrics by poets such as Erik Bye, Ove Røsbak, and Per Aaseng, all people Hans Fredrik has collaborated with in various contexts And Einar Skjæraasenhar wrote the text on the last track on ØRE, Sang på elva.
